Today's adventure to Nevis started rough. It was rainy and the Atlantic waves made the ferry boat roll from side to side. We were the only paying customers on the ferry.
We had a long list of stops to make.
The "Haunted" Ruins of the Eden-Browne Estate
The Nevis horse racing track is rather rundown, but uniquely sits next to the Atlantic Ocean. It is overrun with feral donkeys.
I was able to man the betting counter.
Sitting in the vacant grand stand eating our picnic lunch, we had a nice view of the island of Montserrat.
Lime Kiln on the Ocean
Some black bellied sheep with sugar mill ruins.
More feral donkeys.
The ruins of a lime kiln (cement component) sits next to the Atlantic Ocean.
A mailbox painted like a clown fish.
The world's largest hermit crab. This picture is deceptive. The shell is 5 inches across.
The white sands of Indian Castle Estate Beach facing the Atlantic Ocean. Not one soul besides us on a Saturday afternoon.
Other things we did: Picked up our taxes from the preparer, bought a Yabba Pot at New Castle Pottery, and I took a soak in the geothermal hot springs.
